Status

1. Open Settings → Network & internet, then select your active Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
2. Beside DNS server assignment, choose Edit → Manual and enable IPv4.
3. Enter 1.1.1.1 as Preferred DNS and 1.0.0.1 as Alternate DNS, then save.

1. Open System Settings → Network and select your active connection.
2. Choose Details → DNS, then select the + button.
3. Add 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, then choose OK.

1. Open Settings → Wi-Fi and tap the ⓘ beside your connected network.
2. Tap Configure DNS → Manual, remove old entries if needed, then choose Add Server.
3. Add 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, then tap Save.

This manual setting applies only to the selected Wi-Fi network. Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 app can apply it across Wi-Fi and cellular connections.

1. Open Settings → Network & internet → Private DNS.
2. Select Private DNS provider hostname.
3. Enter one.one.one.one, then tap Save.

Menu names may vary slightly by manufacturer. Private DNS is available on Android 9 and later.

1. Open Settings → Network or Wi-Fi, then select your active connection.
2. Click the gear icon, open the IPv4 tab, and turn off Automatic DNS.
3. Enter 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1, choose Apply, then reconnect.

Works similarly on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Zorin OS, Pop!_OS, Fedora Workstation, and many other desktop distributions. Menu names may vary. Avoid editing /etc/resolv.conf unless you know your network manager will not overwrite it.
